Project Background
BPP University was founded in 1992 and consists of four colleges in the UK, specializing in law, business, nursing, and technology. With around 21,000 students studying at 13 centers across eight locations in England, as well as through online programs worldwide, the university has experienced significant growth over the years. This growth has created a demand for campus expansion, facility enhancements, improved infrastructure, and upgraded ICT facilities in classrooms.
The Challenge
BPP University recently established a new branch campus, equipped with 53 classrooms, 15 offices, and 2 conference rooms. Numerous lectures take place throughout the day, spread across these educational spaces, which occasionally result in maintenance issues and complaints regarding the AV equipment in the classrooms. The school heavily relies on various multimedia devices, which are maintained by only a few IT personnel.
The school's requirement is to provide powerful and user-friendly audiovisual equipment. Educators should be able to make full use of the existing classroom technology without having to deal with complex and confusing operations during their lessons. Given the complex nature of the school's equipment infrastructure, there is an urgent need for a digital transformation and an IoT-enabled campus that centralizes device control through cloud-based solutions

In order to manage the devices in existing classrooms, the Network Media Processor NMP211-G-LU plays a crucial role in seamless integration with various AV devices including IQTouch HA1100 Pro interactive display,multimedia equipment, and control systems. Through the user-friendly interface on the touch panel, educators can easily manage all the devices in the room while keeping a close eye on everything happening in the classroom. IQ has implemented a secure digital meeting solution that includes IQTouch HA1100 PRO interactive flat panels, 4K IQMeet Camera CV810 PTZ cameras, IQSound SA200 soundbars, and the Wireless presentation system IQShare WP40, AHY200 video video conferencing kit, AVS200 video conferencing kit, and IQ speakerphone S500.This comprehensive solution enables seamless and high-quality remote collaboration during meetings, allowing employees in diverse time zones and work environments to engage in effective video conferencing with clear facial displays and crisp audio, ultimately enhancing communication and productivity.

IQ introduces the innovative concept of the "Divisible Classroom" solution, specifically designed for classrooms that require multipurpose applications. In certain school settings, there are adjoining classrooms that are separated by flexible partition walls. Under normal circumstances, each classroom operates independently with its own set of multimedia devices.
However, there are instances when the partition walls are opened, combining the two classrooms into a larger space for collaborative teaching. In this scenario, the teacher can still conveniently control all the multimedia devices, such as the IQTouch HA1100Pro interactive display panel and IQSound SA200 speakers, from a single Touch Panel through the Divisible Classroom Mode. This mode ensures that the audiovisual contents remain synchronized between the two rooms while offering a unified control system, simplifying the user experience.
By implementing the Divisible Classroom solution, schools can optimize the utilization of space, providing flexibility for different teaching scenarios. Whether classrooms are used independently or combined, teachers can seamlessly manage the AV equipment, fostering effective collaboration and enhancing the overall learning experience for students.
The Networked Media Processor (NMP) plays a crucial role in the Divisible Classroom solution by serving as both a media and control processor. It is installed in each partitioned room, allowing for independent control of various devices. This includes tasks such as turning projectors on/off, raising/lowering motorized projection screens, switching audio and video sources, adjusting audio volume, and even controlling door locks. The daily use of the classrooms is not disrupted, as all controls can be easily managed through a touchscreen interface with an intuitive layout.
When the partition walls are opened, and the classrooms are merged into one, the main classroom's NMP assumes complete control over all AV equipment, including the HA1100 Pro interactive display and SA200 soundbars, in both partitioned rooms. This enables the distribution of AV content from the main classroom to the displays and speakers in the secondary classroom. As a result, all displays and speakers can simultaneously play the same media content, ensuring seamless audio and video synchronization throughout the classroom.
Once the class is finished, the two rooms can be effortlessly restored to their original state with a simple touch on the control panel. This flexibility allows for easy adjustments to the extension and partitioning of the classroom, based on the school's immediate needs and arrangements. Overall, the integration of the NMP and control panel in the Divisible Classroom solution significantly enhances the utilization and adaptability of the available space, providing a seamless and efficient learning environment for both teachers and students.
